Specifying Quality Requirements for the Web 2.0 Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
To specify quality requirements for Web 2.0 applications we propose an integrated approach which considers features for contents, functionalities and services. In this work we discuss how to model internal quality, external quality and quality in use views taking into account not only the software characteristics – as those specified in the ISO 9126-1 quality modelsbut also the own features to Web applications (WebApps). Particularly, we thoroughly discuss the modeling of the content characteristic for evaluating the quality of information – so critical for the whole Web application eras. The resulting models contribute towards a multidimensional integrated approach to evaluate WebApps at different lifecycle stages, independently of Web eras.

Towards the Quality for Web 2.0 Applications
One of the steps to evaluate quality is to define first quality requirements, for instance, by means of models. In order to specify quality models for Web 2.0 applications we propose an integrated approach which considers quality dimensions for contents and functionalities. In particular, we discuss how to model the different quality views reusing and extending the ISO 9126-1 quality models tak...

Today Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a powerful development method whit a wide range of applications to translate customers’ needs into technical requirements for achieving customer satisfaction. The current study demonstrated a QFD analysis to improve school furniture design in Tehran as the baseline of Iran. Accordingly, we extended the widely used QFD method into a complex set of custo...
متن کاملA Methodology for Evaluating Quality and Functional Size of Operative WebApps
The building of Web-based systems has often been ad hoc, lacking systematic development approaches, and quality control and assurance processes. In order to avoid the Web crisis, urge Web Engineering approaches for eliciting, developing and maintaining Web sites and Applications (WebApps) of required quality within budgetary constrains. To bridge this gap, one of our current concerns is assessi...
متن کاملA density based clustering approach to distinguish between web robot and human requests to a web server
Today world's dependence on the Internet and the emerging of Web 2.0 applications is significantly increasing the requirement of web robots crawling the sites to support services and technologies. Regardless of the advantages of robots, they may occupy the bandwidth and reduce the performance of web servers. Despite a variety of researches, there is no accurate method for classifying huge data ...
متن کاملGuiding Personal Choices in a Quality Contracts Driven Query Economy∗
The emergence of Web 2.0 has brought upon a plethora of databasedriven web applications and services where both Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Data (QoD) are of paramount importance to end users. In our previous work, we have proposed Quality Contracts, a comprehensive framework for specifying multiple dimensions of QoS/QoD; we have also developed algorithms to maximize overall system ...
